Since Symbol Syndication was founded, we have shot and edited over 150 professional videos for clients. Here we’d like to share some of our favourites, curated for viewing.
Street Machine Weekend 2017
Street Machine Weekend is organized entirely by the Street Wheelers Car Club. It is estimated that the members put in approximately 5,000 man-hours to plan and hold the show. The event in Lethbridge is promoted extensively through Alberta and advertised nationally to car enthusiasts. The Club promotes the city and the event at every car show its members attend. It is estimated that the event generates in excess of $2.2 million into the retail economy of Lethbridge. There are approximately 50,000 spectators drawn to the event each year. This is our second year doing videography for the event and 2017 was the first year we did marketing for them as well.
A short corporate video we filmed for Zoom Painting in Calgary, AB.

Along with the talented Jaime Vedres, we shot highlights of the 2017 Alberta Conservative Party Convention in Calgary for Jason Kenney.

The Lethbridge Electronic Music Festival (LEMF) is is Southern Alberta’s only free, all ages annual Electronic Music Festival, established in 2012 by BassWorks Entertainment. We had an absolute blast providing video production for this event. The energy level in Lethbridge was absolutely amazing and as the evening went on, the electronic music got better and better!
The Deadpool parkour and freerunning in real life video was by far the most creative and unique video to date. Viral by design, the results of our effort can be seen in the over 1.4 million views this video has received. This video was shot in downtown Calgary.
You can see the behind-the-scenes on our blog.
Harvest Haven Sheep
Harvest Haven is a local Lethbridge organic grocery store and market farm. This video talks about the steps they take to ensure they are producing an amazing product while raising their animals as humanely as possible.
We included an element of storytelling in this video as it is becoming more and more important in online marketing and is a powerful tool when combined with video production.
Matador Pizza and Steakhouse
Since 1976 Matador Pizza has been a fixture in the Calgary community for great tasting food, friendly service and a great environment to dine. Using local Calgary ingredients and homemade recipes, they strive to maintain the same freshness and quality that have become the standard for over 35 years. We enjoyed shooting and eating while making this captivating video for them.

Ninja Warrior Parkour
Check out Max Henry’s (our main Ninja) Free Guide to Parkour: http://www.parkourroadmap.com.
There have been a vast number of gimmick filled parkour videos over the last few years ever since Devinsupertramp released his Assassin’s Creed in Real Life video and it went viral. We even made one, Deadpool Parkour in Real Life which was, from a vitality standpoint, a major hit. Generally these videos are met with disappointment from the parkour community due to lack of “real” parkour. In Ninja Warrior Parkour we sought to change that (and maybe play off the American Ninja Warrior craze a little). We brought in Max Henry from New York to be our main ninja and tried to even have a small element of a story line around the video.
Media Goes: Teaser
Symbol Syndication and Peter Fiorino of Mavick Media started Media Goes to take video media on the road. Through photography, videography and social media, Media Goes documented their first trip from Calgary to Vancouver and down the coast to San Diego. The trip featured extreme sports, such as parkour and rock climbing, as well as many other adventures along the way. The project was a great success, and we look forward to planning the next one!
Brett Taylor Nascar
Brett Taylor is a Calgary based professional Nascar driver. He brought us along for the day to one of his races to film behind the scenes of what it is like to be a Nascar driver. Videography projects like this are a lot of fun because we get to be creative and show unique aspects of an event that the public might not always get to see. Event videography is one of our specialties, contact us about one of your events in Calgary, Lethbridge or area.
