Street Machine Weekend 2017

Street Machine Weekend is the most exciting event from our old stomping grounds of Lethbridge. In fact, we worked on the Street Machine Weekend, an incredible opportunity! Street Machine Weekend, organized by the Street Wheelers Car Club is a city-wide event in Lethbridge. Together with their members, they put in roughly 5000 hours to plan and execute the entire show. Alberta also heavily promotes the event to car enthusiasts across the nation. Additionally, they estimated the event brought in roughly $2.2 million into the retail economy of Lethbridge. Not to mention foot traffic brought in approximately 50,000 spectators each year.

Nissan Titan Ride and Drive Event

We were invited by Nissan Canada to cover their event for the Canada Grey Cup, which was extremely exciting. In fact, they let people drive a new Nissan Titan through a closed course to test out the truck’s abilities. The short highlight film above is also a result of the footage from the day.

About Airdrie, Alberta

The city of Airdrie is located within the Calgary Region of Alberta just north of the municipality of Calgary along the Calgary-Edmonton Corridor. Airdrie also makes up part of Calgary’s census metropolitan area report and is surrounded by Rocky View County.

The city was first established as a railway siding in 1889 around the same time as the construction of the Calgary and Edmonton Railway. Only railway buildings existed until 1901 until the first farmhouse and barn was built, which was then followed by the construction of a post office and later a store in that same year. According to the 2019 municipal census, Airdrie’s population is 70,564, which saw an increase of 3.6% from the 2018 census of 68,091.
